(b.1988)
La Meche originally trained in London as a graphic designer. After having helped design packaging for yet another product he had no emotional investment in, Joey shunned his former creative path in search of something new, something deeper. This turned into 12-month backpacking trip to the far East that took the better part of 10 years.
Joey used these years of exploration to bathe in Asian culture, Buddhist & Hindu philosophy which is often reflected in his work alongside the sensibilities of urban art. Now based back in the UK, Joey has merged together the practical, formal lessons of his graphic design training with something altogether more free, expressive and handmade.
